PHOTOS: The NIN Live Archive Transfer HQ
This is what I call the NIN Live HQ. Where I get to enjoy my music collection and transfer/preserve any sort of audio/video media that people send to me!
WATCH/READ: Kraftwerk 2024-05-17 Columbus, Kemba Live!
The godfathers of electronic music. My first time seeing them since 2016 and it was a fantastic show.
WATCH: HEALTH 03-20-2024 Detroit :: BE QUIET AND DRIVE (FAR AWAY) Deftones Cover
I had the privilege of filming HEALTH’s show in Detroit a few weeks back. We were able to get in for soundcheck and set all of our cameras up and get a soundboard patch. The footage came out EXCELLENT. I have sent the mix to the band and hopefully they will do something with it. In the meantime, here is their cover of Deftones “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)” from the show!

Here are all of the Depeche Mode shows I recorded on their 2023 Memento Mori tour in the US during their Spring Warm Up shows and the Fall Tour.
READ: FUZZMONSTER’S Master DAT Collection
I’ve been fortunate enough to work with FUZZMONSTER and archiving his master DAT collection. They have recorded over 1,000 different concerts ranging from 1993 to the present.
WATCH: The Smile 2023-07-11 Cleveland, Agora Theatre
Missed their shows in Atlanta, Detroit and Charleston but made up for it big time in Cleveland. A dead center, front row balcony ticket to an unobstructed view and a very polite crowd around me. Sound was fantastic and I waited until I saw this band live to see/hear any of this material and not on their live releases. Epic stuff. Also real stoked how well the audio and video turned out!
WATCH: Underworld 2023-05-29 Detroit, Movement Festival
I’ve been waiting 23 years to see Underworld live. They haven’t been to Detroit since 1999. Insane when you think about how Detroit is the capitol for Techno. A great way to close out Movement Festival with them playing the main stage. As always, the sound was impeccable and visuals were stunning.
WATCH: Cold 2023-05-26 Flint, Machine Shop
Last time I saw Cold was my first show since the Pandemic at this very venue. This is one of Adam’s favorite bands, so I made sure I was going. Had a great time at the meet and greet before the show.
WATCH: Death Cab for Cutie 2004-03-30 Royal Oak
During the pandemic I pulled out all of my master recordings and did full digital transfers of everything. This was one of them. Back when Death Cab allowed open taping and right as Transatlanticism was being released and they would blow up. Death Cab was opening for Ben Kweller at this time. So crazy to think nowadays… I took my brother’s Hi8 cam to film the show and my cassette recording rig. Simpler times and although the recordings are shitty, it brings back a lot of good memories.
PIC: Linkin Park June 08, 2001 Tinley Park Master Tape
Received the Hi8 master tape of Linkin Park’s set from June 08th, 2001 Tinley Park show. Pretty crazy to see this pop up on eBay.
WATCH: Nine Inch Nails 2022-09-18 Chicago, Riot Fest
Getting to see my favorite band one last time this year. An amazing day hanging out with my brother and good friend Zack prior to the show just catching up and talking about our favorite band/music. Short trip flew in/out for it, but so worth it. Opening with Somewhat Damaged, I never get tired of it. Tapes came out epic. Riot Fest always has the best sound.
WATCH: Rage Against The Machine 07/31/2022 Raleigh
Met up with Tyler of the Rage Against the Machine Archive (ratm.live) who is hitting every show in the US this tour in Raleigh. Epic show. Really happy how my audio and video recordings came out for this one. Which you can see below.
WATCH: Dave Gahan 2003-08-06 Houston, Verizon Wireless Theatre
This one was unexpected in the box of tapes from JAM. As it was not on any of the lists that I had from them. I only assume that this was from one of their 'Slickmode Europe' team members. But I am not sure at this point. It was a great shot film from the center balcony. There are a few spots of digital scratches on the tape/dropouts and this tape was tried on multiple decks to create a perfect capture. You can read more about the troubles of transferring these videos below. If you have any information on these tapes, or need help transferring your own collection of live recordings. Please get in contact at info at ninlive.com thanks!
